The UK government has issued a travel update confirming the restart of international cruising. Following the monitoring of epidemiological research from the restart of domestic cruising the UK government has given the go ahead for international cruise sailings to start from England in line with guidance from Public Health England.
To further support the restart of international cruising, the government and cruise industry have signed a memorandum of understanding to help the industry build back from COVID-19, while protecting British nationals from future pandemic-related disruption.
The travel updates also included an announcement that passengers arriving from amber-listed countries who have been fully vaccinated in Europe and the USA will not have to quarantine upon entry into England.
These changes are part of a range of new measures designed to drive towards the reopening of international travel.
