In September 2021, the Maritime Silk Road Trade Index (STI) released by the Ningbo Shipping Exchange showed that the import and export trade index was 190.49 points,up 2.72% from the previous month and up 23.10% year-on-year; the export trade index was 211.97 points,up 3.88% from the previous month,an increase of 27.52% year-on-year;the import trade index was 168.63 points,up 1.27% month-on-month and up 17.86% year-on-year.
From January to June, China total import and export trade value was US$2,781.6 billion,a year-on-year increase of 37.1%.The total export trade value was US$1,519.3 billion,a year-on-year increase of 38.3%;the total import trade value was US$1,262.3 billion,a year-on-year increase of 35.6%.
China’s trade with continents
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and Asia was US$2,203.8 billion, up 29.8% year-on-year, accounting for 50.5% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 1,127.0 billion U.S. dollars, up 30.6% year-on-year; the import trade value was 1,076.8 billion U.S. dollars, up 28.8% year-on-year.
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and Europe was US$846.0 billion, up 30.7% year-on-year, accounting for 19.4% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 497.3 billion U.S. dollars, up 30.6% year-on-year; the import trade value was 348.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 30.9% year-on-year.
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and Africa was US$184.2 billion, up 37.7% year-on-year, accounting for 4.2% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 107.8 billion U.S. dollars, up 35.1% year-on-year; the import trade value was 76.5 billion U.S. dollars, up 41.6% year-on-year.
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and North America was US$603.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.9%, accounting for 13.8% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 449.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 32.4% year-on-year; the import trade value was 154.0 billion U.S. dollars, up 42.7% year-on-year.
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and Latin America was US$328.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 45.3%, accounting for 7.5% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 163.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 58.1% year-on-year; the import trade value was 165.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 34.5% year-on-year.
From January to September, the import and export trade value between China and Oceania was US$197.7 billion, up 38.6% year-on-year, accounting for 4.5% of China’s total import and export value. The export trade value was 57.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 26.7% year-on-year; the import trade value was 140.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 44.0% year-on-year.
