The positive momentum continued this week for the kamsarmax/panamax sector with a busy market from Indonesia to China. Rates for four to six months shot up to an average of $33,750/pdpr.

Rates for the smaller sizes went through the roof this week in the Atlantic and a strong market in the Pacific that has risen steadily throughout the week. Short-term period fixtures have been reported around the six-to-nine-month mark.
