The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) seized ‘Allah Pawakal,’ a Pakistani boat, with 12 crew members on board on Tuesday. The boat was taken to Okha by local and marine police and the central IB for interrogation. The investigation has revealed that all the crew members hail from Karachi in Pakistan.
The ICG caught the boat on 14 September during a surveillance mission at night. The team has discovered a fishing net and a significant amount of ration from the boat. An FIR is expected to be filed at Porbandar. A release statement has mentioned that for a detailed investigation on the matter, the boat has been taken to Okha in Gujarat.
Seized Boat Undergoes Terror Investigation
The investigation of the boat and crew members is ongoing. GPS is being used to discover the boat’s whereabouts before it was seized by the ICG. All 12 members are in custody. Besides, local intelligence agencies have been coordinating for the investigation. The proofs have warned central agencies about possible terror links. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has informed India that a similar small boat had been used by terrorists during the Mumbai 26/11 attacks.
Pakistan-Backed Terrorists Plotting Multiple Blasts in India Held
In a recent development, it was revealed that terrorists nabbed by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Uttar Pradesh (UP) had undergone special training in Pakistan. The terrorists, who have been linked with Anees Ibrahim, Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, had been arrested by the UP ATS after the information flowed in from the Special Cell of Delhi Police and central agencies about multiple blasts being planned by terror suspects. The sources also reported that explosives were being stored at several locations.
Per the latest information on the suspects, Zeeshan Qamar and Osama a.k.a Sami had been given special training for blasts on bridges, railway tracks, and in areas with large gatherings. They had made their way to Pakistan without procuring stamping to help avoid proofs that they had entered the country. Around 1.5 kg of RDX has been found on them. This suggests that they had been planning a blast at a large gathering. The terrorists continue to be questioned by the Information Bureau for further information about their plans.
