The Prima Speedway will be the largest and first ever three-level racetrack, spanning a quarter mile in length (1,378 feet/ 402 meters), wrapping around the ship’s funnel and featuring 14 nail-biting turns

A brand new Norwegian Cruise ship promises high-speed thrill and has the largest racetrack on the ocean and other jaw-dropping features that will set sail from Galveston around late 2023. Norwegian Prima is currently one of the cruise line’s most in-demand ships. Its biggest showstopper is the Prima Speedway, the first-ever– and largest — three-level go-kart racetrack.

The track stretches for about 420 meters, featuring 14 sharp turns. It can easily accommodate 15 racers at the same time. A significant section of this track offers open-ocean views.

Prima claims to host the first three-story cruise-ship theatre in the world that can be transformed into a nightclub. It also adds that the nightclub is Vegas-style with a gorgeous and expansive dance floor.

Besides a large musical performance, the theatre is awaiting to host interactive reality game shows like “The Price is Right.”

Other amenities worth mentioning are its indoor virtual gaming zone named The Galaxy Pavilion. It boasts 14 attractions, including the Topgolf Swing Suite and two escape rooms — an immersive golf simulator — at the sea.

Ocean Boulevard

Norwegian has emphasized outdoor space while designing the Prima. The Ocean Boulevard will include The Concourse — an outdoor sculpture garden with one-of-its-kind artworks. Its Infinity Beach, a seaside walkway, has two large infinity pools.

Oceanwalk also flaunts two glass-bottom bridges hanging over the ocean. Guests can also make most of the scenic beauty from La Terraza, an open-air lounge while grooving.

Ocean Boulevard is home to three amazing dining venues. It also has a huge international food hall offering outdoor and indoor seating.

The new vessel can accommodate 3,215 passengers. It is 965 feet in length and weighs 142,500 gross tons. It offers the widest variety of suite categories to date at sea — 13.

There are 107 suites at The Haven. It is accessible by ultra-premium keycards. This exclusive section has an infinity pool, an outdoor spa with a cold room, and a beautiful glass-walled sauna.

The ship is expected to set to sail on 17 August 2022 from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Reykjavik in Iceland. It will make stops at Bergen, Geiranger, and Zeebrugge in Norway, and Isafjordur and Akureyri in Iceland.
